We’re so glad that you’re here - whether you’re joining as a new 6th grader, your family just joined MX Church, or you just visited.

We want you to know that this is a youth ministry with purpose.

Mission Statement: To welcome all 6th - 12th grade students to grow in Passion for God and Compassion for People by clothing ourselves with Christ and keeping Him at the center of all we do. (Colossians 3:12-17).

No matter your gender, race, economic status, or background, we want all to journey with us as we learn to be more like Christ everyday and experience life together in the Kingdom of God! We do this through a wide variety of methods. MXYG is a very special place that has seen many teens grow in Christ and build lasting relationships with one another. We hope that you see something different about us and desire to be a part of the awesome work that God is doing here!

Rooted
Acts 2:42 | Psalm 1:1-3

Rooted is our weekly Wednesday night Bible class! We meet from 6:30-8 PM during the school year, and 6:30-8:30 PM during the summer. We meet in the Youth area (Gym/Canteen/Cafe) to play games, hangout, and grow deeper in our faith. We would consider this the cornerstone of the discipleship model. Come grow in spiritual formation with us!

Student Devo and Worship
1 Timothy 4:12 | Psalm 100
Student Devo and Worship (SD+W) is a youth-led experience that we do on the last Wednesday night of the month during the school year in place of a normal Midweek Youth Group meeting. A student will do a devotional for us, and we will spend time in worship - singing praises to our heavenly Father!
Student Action Leadership Training
Matthew 5:13 | Proverbs 27:17

Student Action Leadership Training (SALT) is a monthly opportunity for all of our students to gather together to grow in faith, develop strong leadership skills, and speak into the Youth Ministry firsthand. Along with THEO, this is a part of our Church Family Initiative to connect our students to the congregation. We meet once a month during the school year, 5:30-7:30 PM, in the home of a church member.

THEO
2 Timothy 3:16-17 | 1 Peter 3:15

THEO ("Theology") is simply a time of Bible study. Less teaching, more studying and learning the Word together. If you're looking to know God more and dive deeper into His Word, THEO is for you! Along with SALT, this is a part of our Church Family Initiative to connect our students to the congregation. We meet once a month during the school year, 5:30-7:30 PM, in the home of a church member.

Churches on the Streets
Matthew 25:40 | James 2:26
Churches on the Streets is our monthly mission based in downtown St. Louis. One Monday a month at 5:15 PM, we meet at the church and ride over to meet the organization downtown. We serve hot meals, snack bags, hygiene kits, clothes, etc., to the homeless community. We return around 8-8:15 PM. To find out more about this mission or the COTS organization, visit their website or Facebook.
See You at the Cafe
Hebrews 10:24-25 | Romans 12:10
See You at the Cafe aids in our mission to build a Christ-centered Friendship culture. This is a monthly coffee shop meet up to play games and have conversations. Where other fellowship events may have students dispersed and doing different activities, SYATC brings us all together to share in activities together. This fellowship event is all about strengthening our bond as a Youth Group.
